A lot of spinners like to spin thick and thin yarn. This pattern shows how to knit a shawlette with only 195 yards of yarn! The pattern is the easiest ever. This is what you need: handspun thick and thin yarn (approx. 195 yards or more), 8 mm needles (or larger), tapestry needle for weaving ends in.
You can use every sort of handspun yarn, gauge doesn't matter. Adjust the size of your needles to your handspun yarn.
Cast on 11 stitches loosely. Knit 5 rows in garter stitch.
1. Row (RS): K2, yo, K3, yo, pm, K1 (this is the center stitch), yo, K 3, yo, K2.
2. Row (WS): Knit all stitches
3. Row (RS): K2, yo, knit to marker, yo, move marker, K 1, yo, knit to two stitches before end, yo, K2.
4. Row (WS): Knit all stitches
